The Benami zone of the Regional Tax Office (RTO) has sought details of bank defaulters involved in purchase of Benami properties from loans. Sources said there is sufficient evidence of Benami owners involved in bank defaults. Accordingly, the zone has decided to investigate all such cases where property has been purchase in the name of close relatives.
The zone would start investigation after receiving details of defaulters from banks, they added.
