Pakistan T20I captain Babar Azam maintained his grip as the leading batsman in cricket’s shortest format, as per the latest ICC T20I Rankings.

As per the rankings, Azam was the top ranked T20I batsman with 876 points, the skipper scored back to back fifties against Australia in the recently concluded three match T20I series, which the visiting Pakistan lost 2-0.

Meanwhile, Australian captain Aaron Finch has jumped two places and is now placed second in the latest rankings.

England’s Dawid Malan has made a grand re-entry to the rankings, grabbing third position in the batsmen’s list. Malan whose tally of 458 runs is more than anyone else in the first nine matches, though remains 94 rating points adrift of Babar in the latest update.

In the bowling department, the Pakistani spin duo of Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan dropped one place each and are now ranked at the third and fifth spot, respectively. The top five and eight of the top nine are spinners, with New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner reaching second place - his best position since he topped the table in January 2018.

In the T20I Team Rankings, Pakistan reign at the top continues with 270 points but Australia are only one point behind them after winning their three-match series 2-0.
