KARACHI: A team of two cadets of Cadet College Petaro represented Pakistan in the International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO) held at Baku from April 4 to 8, Azerbaijan and won a bronze medal.
From Pakistan, Cadet Ameer Hamza and Cadet Hasnain Raza, along with their teacher Shahid Munir of Physics department of the college participated, a release said on Monday.
Students from 44 countries, including UK, USA, Egypt, Ukraine, Turkey, Belgium, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan participated in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad was divided into 4 categories - energy, engineering, environment and social sector. In all 400 projects were displayed in all 4
categories.
Team of cadets from Pakistan with their project in energy sector with the title “Saving Energy Using Optical Fibers” won bronze medal for the country and brought laurels for Cadet College Petaro and Pakistan.
Commodore M. Afzal, Principal Cadet College Petaro highly appreciated the contribution and achievement of cadets and applauded Shahid Munir for preparing the cadets to earn prestige for Pakistan.
