Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto said on Monday that he would soon launch mass contact campaign in Punjab and the provincial leadership of the party should make necessary arrangements in this respect.
He was presiding over a meeting of PPP Punjab office-bearers at the Bilawal House.
The political situation in Punjab was discussed in detailed during the meeting.
Bilawal said the PPP had come into being in the province of Punjab, which is a land of labourers who have taken to the streets against the government. Also, he said, doctors, clerks, teachers and other segments of the society are protesting against the government. Factories have been closed down in Punjab and factory workers are perturbed over the prevailing situation, he added. He advised the party leadership to join the protestors and raise their voices in favour of their demands.
He said the party would organize the foundation day rally in Kashmir and the party should make sure maximum participation of workers from throughout the Punjab.
