PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that PML-N has rejected the "conditional removal of Nawaz Sharif's name from the ECL".

She said this decision by the PTI government is "unlawful, unconstitutional and is only a manifestation of Imran Khan's vengeful and prejudicial mindset".

In a statement, Marriyum said PML-N has already very clearly stated its stance regarding surety bonds that it will not submit any such bond.

She clarified that all legal and constitutional requirements were fulfilled at the time of Nawaz's bail including surety bonds. This decision of conditional ECL exemption, she said, is incomprehensible and unprecedented in the history of the country and is only a reflection of how far PTI can go in its political victimization.

Marriyum said PTI regime's "deceptive" tactics of acknowledging Nawaz's critical condition while jeopardizing his life with delaying tactics is highly condemnable. She said the government must realize the gravity of the situation "instead of playing a dangerous political game over his ailment".

Marriyum said it is sad that the person who left his wife on the death bed to return to face the courts, is being asked to submit surety bonds. She said the PTI is trying to get illegal and unconstitutional ransom by exploiting the medical complications of an ill person. She said "the PTI regime is trying to act supreme to the Supreme Court of Pakistan in sheer contempt of the judiciary".

She said that doctors, after their consultation board, have concluded that the high dose of steroids given to the PML-N leader twice for travel had extremely negative effects on his health, and all that went in vain because of the government's indecision. This, she said cannot be allowed to happen again as the high dose of steroids to boost Nawaz's platelets has adverse effects on other medical complications faced by the former Prime Minister.

She said a second consultation session of Nawaz's doctors will be held later today to discuss ways to tackle his worsening condition. She said Nawaz Sharif's life is a sacred trust of the people of Pakistan and the PTI regime is jeopardizing it with its "criminal negligence" through delaying tactics.

Marriyum said the PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has called an emergent meeting of party leadership to deliberate on this recent impediment by PTI to Nawaz's treatment.

She also said that the PMLN President will hold a press conference on Thursday (today) at 1500 PST over the matter.-PR
