Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn futures sagged on Wednesday under pressure from losses in the neighbouring wheat market, traders said.
Corn and wheat futures pulled back after rising on Tuesday.
The USDA, after the grain markets closed on Tuesday, said that US farmers had completed 66% of their corn harvest as of Sunday, behind the five-year average of 85% and analysts' expectations for 68%.
Corn supplies are expected to be sufficient despite the late harvest, one analyst said.
