Director General, Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari has said that he will prepare a revised & comprehensive security plan for SITE area in consultation with Sector Commander and Wing Commander.
He visited SITE Association of Industry (SAI) and discussed the law & order related issues with the industrialists of SITE area, he said that the Internal Security of Karachi is very important for which, rangers is rendering services to the Sindh government. The expectations of industrialists regarding law & order should be met.
He appreciated the setting up of SITE Crime Monitoring Cell within the premises of the association and stated that rangers will work on better utilisation of the facilities provided in the SCMC, taking it to the next level.
Acting President SAI, Muhammad Saleem Nagaria urged DG Rangers to use his good offices to uplift the infrastructure of SITE area, particularly roads which are in pathetic condition.
Chairman of Law & Order Committee of SAI, Abdul Hadi briefed the DG Rangers on the working of SITE Self Security System and highlighted coordination problem with the two wings of Rangers and requested Wing's support to monitor and improve performance of Rangers Security Guards whose services have been availed by the Association.
Zubair Motiwala said that law & order in SITE area is much better than before and there is need to maintain it. He highlighted the role of SITE area in Karachi as well as national economy and said that Karachi should be given importance in resources allocation.
Siraj Kassam Teli said that most of the street crimes occur due to poor condition of roads which is now a security issue. For the repair of roads, SITE LIMITED is responsible and they have assured to repair major roads in 4-5 months.
He urged the DG Rangers to plead this matter with government high ups which is linked with law & order situation of the area.
