PM, army chief discuss situation
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday.
According to media officer of Prime Minister Office, PM Khan and COAS Bajwa held detailed discussions over the professional matters of armed forces, whereas, they both exchanged views on situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir, security situation of the country, regional developments, internal security and western border.
Prime Minister Khan hailed the continued efforts of Pak Army in defending the borders while also ensuring internal security and stability efforts, which are facilitating ongoing socioeconomic development.
The meeting between the two took place after almost a month at a time when Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) is demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan and an early election in the country.
