The Punjab Tourist Police has established two help desks at Kartarpur Corridor for the facilitation of Sikh pilgrims and other tourists coming from all over the world to the temple of Baba Guru Nanak.
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Additional IG Zafar Iqbal said in a statement on Thursday that the Punjab Tourist Police personnel will liable to provide security cover, help and guidance to the Sikh pilgrims and other tourists. He added that the force has been equipped with modern vehicles including motorbikes.
"One help desk has been established at the Indian border while the other one at the Pakistani side," the AIG said, adding that the force was consisting of one DSP, 10 sub-inspectors, 18 assistant sub-inspectors, 21 head constables and 44 constables.
