Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said that change in Pakistan will only come when money-making mafias are defeated, adding that he has not come to save his seat, but to make a change.

The PM performed groundbreaking of a number of welfare projects, in health, education, water and communications sectors in Mianwali. Addressing the public gathering, the premier said that this was just the beginning and expressed commitment to implement health, education and water related projects in Mianwali.

He added that the provincial governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab will be introducing a local government system under which elections will be held at the village level.

The PM said that the country has been put on the right direction, adding that rupee has stabilized and the current account deficit has been reduced for the first time in four years. He said the economy has now adopted the right direction and he is proud of his economic team. As a result, the PM said, confidence of foreign investors is restoring in the local economy and businesses are returning to the country.

While speaking about the recent sit-in in Islamabad, the PM said that those who were standing on the containers are scared of the success of the government on the economic front. "They know they will be caught. They joined forces because they know we will get that money they stole back," he said.

Discussing Nawaz Sharif, PM said when he saw him climbing onto the airplane to leave for London, he took out and placed Nawaz’s medical reports in front of him. "The reports said the patient’s condition was so bad that he could die at any time. There were at least 15 diseases in those reports about Nawaz having heart problems, kidney problems, diabetes and platelets," the premier said.

The PM wondered whether the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader saw the plane and immediately become healthy or was it the London air. He said he seeks clarity on this issue and that the matter needs to be investigated.
