PPP's Khursheed Shah wants NAB to return his mobile phone taken away for forensic examination

An accountability court extended on Saturday the judicial remand of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah for another 14 days in the assets beyond known source of income case.
The PPP leader was brought to the court in an ambulance from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Sukkur. Khursheed he is undergoing treatment in NICVD where his room has been declared a sub-jail.
During the hearing today, Shah's lawyer told the court that his client's mobile phone had been taken away. He requested that the cellphone be returned, local media reported. NAB responded that the phone had been sent for a forensic examination and will be returned once it has been examined.
NAB requested the court for a 15 days extension. However, the court extended Shah's remand for 14 days. The court has adjourned the hearing till December 7 in which the PPP leader will be presented before the court again.
On September 18, the accountability watchdog arrested Shah in the assets beyond means case. According to NAB Shah operates as many as 105 bank accounts in his and other family members' names in Karachi, Sukkur and other cities.
