Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures closed lower on Wednesday on technical selling and profit-taking as the market continued to pull back from a one-month high reached on Monday, traders said.
Traders are expecting minimal deliveries against December futures on Friday's first notice day.
US grain markets will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving.
The US Department of Agriculture is due to issue weekly export sales data on Friday, one day later than normal because of the holiday.
