Chohan reappointed Punjab info minister

After reshuffle in Punjab bureaucracy on large scale, provincial Colonies Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has been reappointed as Punjab minister for information and culture.

Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has been given additional charge of the information ministry besides the colonies department portfolio. Chohan has been given this charge after Mian Aslam Iqbal had excused himself for the additional charge of information ministry responsibilities.

It may be noted that on March 5, he had resigned from his ministry amid intense criticism over his derogatory remarks against the Hindu community after Prime Minister Imran Khan had himself taken notice of his remarks.

Mian Aslam Iqbal told media that he was preoccupied due to certain other official responsibilities. However, he said he fulfilled his duties as information minister with full sincerity and took a number of initiatives for the welfare of artistes.
