Marvel Studios has dropped the first teaser trailer for Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson’s long-awaited solo adventure after her character died in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
Black Widow is the highly anticipated stand-alone movie focusing on Natasha Romanoff’s blood-stained past. The movie takes place in the two year gap between ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
The trailer explores her past and reveals Natasha's decision to reunite with her family. Fans are introduced to her sister (played by Florence Pugh), who feels like a mirror image of Natasha and her parents. The trailer teases ‘some unfinished business’.
At Comic-Con in July Johansson described the film as, “Where we find Natasha in her life at this point is very specific. She really is in a dark place where she’s got no one to call and nowhere to go. She’s really grappling with her own self. In that moment, you actually have to face yourself,” she said.
‘Black Widow’ is due for release on April 30, 2020 in Australia and May 1 in the UK and US.
