(Karachi) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) move toseize the declared assets and properties of Shehbaz Sharif is an injustice.
He expressed these views while talking to media persons on Tuesday.
The PML-N leader said that the government failed to establish corruption and money laundering cases against the party president and seizing his assets is not a right action.
Iqbal maintained that if the government would have been serious in resolving issues, it would have opted for reconciliation with political parties rather adopting a hostile behavior.
He remarked, “The government is playing a dangerous game and wants to create political crisis in the country.”
Regarding army chief’s tenure extension case, he mentioned that the government wants to sabotage the Supreme Court’s verdict and is not showing seriousness over the matter.
Earlier, NAB Lahore issued orders to seal 13 immovable assets of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif.
The properties include those in Lahore's Model Town, Johar Town and Defence, along with two plots in Doonga Gali. Shehbaz is being investigated for owning assets beyond known sources of income.
