On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,230. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.567 billion and the numbers of lots traded was 8,132.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.972 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 814.760 million, DJ PKR 628.930 million, Crude Oil PKR 595.182 million, Platinum PKR 463.101 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 322.792 million, Natural Gas PKR 180.035 million, Silver PKR 131.341 million, SP500 PKR 81.075 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 35.421 million, Palladium PKR 28.099 million, Japan Equity PKR 10.882 million and Copper PKR 3.299 million. In agriculture commodities one lot of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.506 million was traded.
