US-based former Miss Pakistan Zanib Naveed died in a car crash in New York. Maryland State Police said that Naveed was found dead when her vehicle hit a curb and overturned into oncoming traffic.
Naveed, the only person in the vehicle, was ejected from her car in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday. According to a preliminary investigation, alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
She represented Lahore and was crowned Miss Pakistan World on August 24, 2012, in Toronto, Canada. Later, she was sent by the Miss Pakistan World organization to participate in the Miss Earth 2012 pageant.
Naveed leaves behind her husband Ali-Haider Shah and her parents Tabinda Naveed and Chaudry Qudrat.
