ICI Pakistan Limited hosted an exhibition on December 7, 2019 to showcase its incredible history and growth story to mark the Company's 75th Anniversary. Very few companies in Pakistan have so far celebrated 75 years and therefore this is a major milestone not just for ICI Pakistan but also for the country.

Over the last seven and a half decades, ICI Pakistan Limited has attained an iconic status - known and trusted by generations across Pakistan. It has transformed from a single manufacturing unit to become one of the most diversified conglomerates of the country.

To celebrate and display its rich legacy through this Exhibition, the Company worked with the Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP) to do an extensive review of archival material and collect oral histories of retired and current employees. State-of-the-art technology has been used in the exhibition to ensure an interactive and immersive experience for visitors and employees. Pictures dating back to pre-partition days and anecdotes from retirees are some of the exciting features of the Exhibition.

The exhibition will be open for 15 days in Karachi before moving to other Company locations, including Lahore and Sheikhupura, and will have a permanent home in Khewra which is where the roots of ICI Pakistan lie.

Addressing the opening ceremony, ICI Pakistan Limited Chief Executive Asif Jooma stated, "The 75th Anniversary is indeed an important milestone and is an occasion to commemorate the incredible journey and rich legacy of ICI Pakistan. Over the last seven and a half decades, ICI Pakistan has grown from a small concern with a single soda ash manufacturing unit to becoming one of the largest and most influential industrial conglomerates of the country."

"The Company has laid solid foundations for future growth, with major expansion

projects and investments across its diversified portfolio. We look forward to the next 75 years and beyond with even more enthusiasm and confidence to uphold our brand promise of 'Cultivating Growth' and our mission of improving lives," he added.

ICI Pakistan Chairman Mr. Sohail Tabba also spoke on the occasion and said, With the acquisition of majority shareholding by YBG in 2012, the growth story of ICI Pakistan Limited was accelerated, while the Company remained firmly linked to its core values, which emanate from its distinguished legacy.-PR
