With a view to extending relief to the people and accelerating the pace of work on development projects, the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar will be resuming visiting different cities from the next week.

During these visits, the CM will review progress on development schemes apart from visiting government offices, police stations and hospitals. He will also review arrangements made to maintain law & order situation as well as cleanliness conditions during these visits. He will issue on-the-spot instructions for the redressal of public grievances.

The chief minister will also meet with the assembly members, PTI's office-bearers and workers. "Every possible measure will be taken for providing relief to the people," he said.

The CM Usman Buzdar has also issued policy guidelines regarding postings and transfers and an official letter has been sent by Principal Secretary to CM to Chief Secretary, IG Punjab and other administrative secretaries.

It has been stated in the said letter that competent authority can exercise the powers of postings and transfers on administrative grounds, vacant posts and operational needs under the Punjab Government Rules of Business, 2011. The competent authority will ensure the appointment of suitable officers on important posts for improving the performance of government offices.

Moreover, funds worth over Rs 21 million have been released for the treatment of 10 patients for the liver transplant, bone marrow and treatment of other diseases. The recipients of funds are: Bushra Shehzadi, Amjed Javed, Shaista Bibi, Muhammad Usman, Hafiz Maaz, Rashid Noor, Wasif Riaz; Tasleem Ali, Muhammad Anas.

The CM said that releasing funds for the treatment of destitute patients is his responsibility. Those who provide relief to the ailing humanity get a reward in this world and hereafter. People have full right over the national resources and I will continue serving the ailing humanity, he said.

The CM has also taken notice of murder of three persons in Ferozwala and sought a report from Inspector General Police. He has directed authorities concerned to arrest the accused and ensure provision of justice to the affected family.
