Sindh High Court (SHC) Monday approved the bails of Syed Altaf Hussain, Deputy Director Karachi Development Authority (KDA) and three other accused in 'China cutting' case in KDA Scheme 36.

A division bench of SHC headed by Justice Iqbal Kalhoro granted the bail to the accused against the surety of Rs.1 million each. Muhammad Feroze, Mohammad Faheemuddin and Sarfraz are co-accused in the case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) charged the accused of China cutting in scheme 36 KDA by converting 23 amenity plots into commercial and residential plots.

Meanwhile, a division bench of SHC headed by Justice Shafi Siddiqui declared the appointment of Dr. Mujeebuddin Memon as Vice Chancellor Tando Jam Agriculture University on the ground he didn't possess the required qualification for the post.
