PML-N's Marriyum launches scathing attack on PM

PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has told Imran Khan that leveling baseless accusations without proof and sermons on anti-corruption won't save his skin and his office.

PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has told Imran Khan that leveling baseless accusations without proof and sermons on anti-corruption won't save his skin and his office.

In her response to Imran's speech Marriyum claimed that the "compulsive liar" once again lied by claiming credit for the work done by PML-N.

The data shared by the selected Prime Minister was actually the recovery made by Shahbaz Sharif, she said, adding "for the past 20 years Imran has been running a smear campaign against PML-N accusing them of corruption but every time he is asked to produce evidence, he goes mum and runs away."

Marriyum said, "Imran Khan's incoherent, incomprehensible, stuttering, replete with blunders, directionless and removed from reality speech today was reminiscent of his time in office and of his Naya Pakistan."

She said Imran rightly said his performance would be compared to other governments. "It will be compared how one government took growth to 5.8 and brought inflation to 3 percent while the other destroyed growth to 2.5 and shot inflation to 14 percent," she said. "It will be compared how one administration completed mega projects of billions and brought $60 billion CPEC while the others idea of projects is chickens, hens and calves."

Marriyum said the real "butchery" of merit in Pakistan was the imposition of an inept, cluelessness, incompetent and unqualified person like Imran on the country. Imran could not prove a dime of corruption on the ones he loves to hate and accuse.

"The investigation of Malam Jabba case, Billion Tree Tsunami, hundred billion potholes of Peshawar Metro has been shelved. NAB is blind to Aleema Khan's magical sewing machine that mints out billions. Jahangir Tareen's proven money laundering and pending charges of corruption and black money are brushed under the carpet.

These glaring mega scandals which don't even need too much work are ignored while 15 months of relentless and exhaustive persecution and political victimisation through corruption allegations turned out to be a farce," Marriyum said.

The former Information Minister said sermons of a vibrantly function anti-corruption units are rich coming from those who shut down anti-corruption commission and accountability commission.

The PML-N Central Spokesperson said the avalanche of Imran Khan's incompetence had buried the country under Rs 14,000 billion additional debt in just 15 months. Where is this money being spent, she questioned. Imran must tell the nation how much money did the Accountability Cell recover over the past 15 months.

Marriyum said "illegally" putting opposition leaders in death-row prison cells without proof does not in any way translate into an anti-corruption drive. Waving meaningless documents at press conference doesn't matter, only producing plausible evidence in court does, she told Imran.-PR
