Egypt GASC buys 355,000 tonnes of wheat in tender
- Nibulon: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $222.50 free-on-board (FOB) and $14.97 freight equating to $237.47 cost and freight (C&F).
- Ameropa: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $224.70 FOB and $13.55 freight equating to $238.25 C&F.
DUBAI: Egypt's state grain buyer GASC bought 355,000 tonnes of Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian and French wheat at its latest international purchasing tender, traders said on Tuesday.
Of the total, GASC bought 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat, 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat, 115,000 tonnes of Russian wheat and 120,000 tonnes of French wheat.
GASC was not immediately available to comment.
Traders gave the following breakdown of the purchase in dollars per tonne:
-Nibulon: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $222.50 free-on-board (FOB) and $14.97 freight equating to $237.47 cost and freight (C&F)
-Ameropa: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $224.70 FOB and $13.55 freight equating to $238.25 C&F
-ADM: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223 FOB and $15.35 freight equating to $238.35 C&F
-Glencore: 120,000 tonnes of French wheat at $220.30 FOB and $18.04 freight equating to $238.34 C&F
-Posco: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $223.91 FOB and $14.49 freight equating to $238.40 C&F
