ABIDJAN: Ivory Coast cocoa grinders processed 96,000 tonnes of beans from the start of the season on Oct. 1 to the end of November, data from exporters' association GEPEX showed on Wednesday.
That is 5.5pc higher than the 91,000 tonnes processed in the same period last season.
Grinders processed 49,000 tonnes of beans in November, up from 46,000 tonnes the previous November.
The GEPEX data only covers six of the largest grinding companies, including Barry Callebaut AG, Olam International Ltd and Cargill Inc, among 12 active firms.
Ivory Coast has total grinding capacity of 712,000 tonnes.
