Federal Government released Rs250 million for establishment of Combined Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) for industrial areas of Karachi. The released funds of Rs250 million since the first week of December in financial year 2019-20 is the fifty percent of the amount, which federal government allocated in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

The project's total cost stands at Rs11.7 billion and has been planned to be completed by June 2021. The share of federal government is Rs3.893 billion and rest would be contributed by provincial government of Sindh.
