Democrats in the House of Representatives have announced formal charges against President Donald Trump. The US President is accused of abusing power and obstructing Congress . He's the fourth president in the US history to face impeachment.
It has been reported that Democratic-controlled House is expected to vote on the charges, or articles of impeachment, next week. It has also been reported that Democrats had to take action because Trump had endangered the US Constitution, undermined the integrity of the 2020 election and jeopardized national security.
The question is: Is Trump fit for the office? His detractors or political rivals often describe him as a person who is coarse, vulgar and dishonest demagogue. It has to be seen whether or not this move by Democrats is strong enough to ultimately set the stage for a trial in the Republican-controlled Senate.
