A septuagenarian widow of Dr Faseeh-Al-Haq Osmani, who was brutally stabbed to death with his son Kamran Osmani at his home in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on October 9, started receiving life threats from what she claimed culprits involved in this coldblooded twin-murder, after state security withdrawal.
Addressing at a press conference along with her lawyer at Karachi Press Club (KPC), Asia Osmani expressed her utter disappointment over police, and posed question as to why the investigating police officers, SSP South Tariq Dharejo, SP Sohaye Aziz, and DSP Mubin, were transferred abruptly.
"This is a high profile case. A murder of a scientist and a fresh foreign qualified youth," Asia said. An FIR No- 412/2019 has been registered at Clifton Police Station.
"I am receiving frequent life threatening mobile phone calls. Police has lifted security within a week after the incident." she said, adding the phone number has been shared with the police, but to no avail.
Moreover, on 25 November, Asia said unknown men barged into her home after breaking door locks, and took away important property documents, cash, dollars, and jewellery etc.. The house was left vacated after the murder. An FIR No- 447/2019 was registered at the same police station. She said some important pages from her diary containing record of tenancy dues etc. have gone missing after the house robbery.
She alleged that the culprits may be so influential that investigating police was not cooperating with her. "I have seen the figure prints of the culprit. They can be traced and brought to justice immediately, if the police work with professional honesty." Asia deplored.
Sharing details of the incident, Asia said it was their routine to go for a walk at the Zamzama Park in morning, but on the October 9, her husband refused to go along with her on the walk. "So I left alone. She said she usually left the gate open but when she returned she found the door locked from inside.
"I knocked the door but got no response. Then I opened another door and saw they were found dead in a mysterious condition."
She found bodies of her husband and son mysteriously lying on pool of blood at their room. I called my daughter and the police. The initial police investigation revealed that the bodies bore multiple marks with sharp metal.
She said her son Kamran had recently comeback to Karachi and wanted to join Prime Minister Imran Khan's camp to sever the country in his field after completion of his studies in Human Genetics from America.
She urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and IG Sindh Dr Syed Kalim Iman to take notice of the incident and ensure speedy justice to her.
