The Punjab Agriculture Department (PAD) on Friday launched first of its kind Procurement Management Information System (PMIS) for transparent and efficient management of public procurement, leading to good governance and delivering value for taxpayer's money.
The Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial was the Chief Guest at the launching ceremony of this state of the art system while provincial ministers Husnain Dareshak and Ajmal Cheema also participated.
On this occasion, Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial Minister for Agriculture Punjab said that the ICT led system will assist top management in improving procurement and financial planning.
It will also provide real time monitoring and progress report of all procurement operations. This new system will reduce procurement cycle time and associated administrative costs.
