Prime Minister Advisor on Establishment, Muhammad Shehzad Arbab on Saturday said good effects of tough decision have started emerging and the economy has started moving towards stability. He said that the government will soon launch a mega Peshawar development plan under short, mid and long term on which work is being carried out on fast track basis.

Shehzad said that all elected representatives belonging from Peshawar has been included in Peshawar Development Plan. He said the development of Peshawar, traffic plan, roads, education, health; parks along with other addressable issues will be resolved under the mega Peshawar Development Program. He vowed that they will make the Peshawar as global city.

PM Advisor said PM Imran Khan had launched a 'Ehsaas' programme with Rs 80 billion to uplift poor and unprivileged segments of the society and further by Rs 120 billion by 2020, adding the programme is aimed at helping the downtrodden and vulnerable segments of society, including the poor, orphans, widows, homeless, disabled, undernourished and jobless.

Shehzad was addressing at an open forum at his residence here. MNA Arbab Sher Ali, MPA Pir Fida Muhammad along with General Manager SNGPL, Taj Ali Khan, CEO Pesco Engr Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan, Director General PDA Zafar Ali Shah, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Muhammad Ali Asghar and high-officials from police, health and education departments were present on the occasion.

PM Advisor said a mega project will be inaugurated regarding utility store on December 27 under which the government will give subsidy of Rs 6 billion to ensure provision of daily use food items to utility stores on subsidized rates. He informed the utility stores system will be digitized soon under international pattern.

PM Advisor said the government is taking measures to resolve issues, which were bringing positive impacts and results. He said the incumbent government was faced with issues after coming into power, but the situation is heading toward improvement with the passage of time.

Shehzad said large number of positions, lying vacant in Peshawar Electric Supply Company for which hiring process is speedily underway. He said the steps are being taken at district and tehsil levels to overcome with 'price-hike' under proper monitoring mechanism.

He said the economy is heading toward improvement. He said the situation is getting better with the passage of time. He said the government had taken decisions for strengthen the country roots, have started gaining positive results.
