Constructing new water reservoirs or dams is nothing less than the fulfilment of national cause because of a variety of reasons. Country's water woes, according to the IMF, for example, have been exacerbated by climate change, power water management and a lack of will to deal with the crisis. It is therefore heartening to note that country's apex court is fully cognizant of the situation; it has strong realization of the fact that it is a very important challenge. "There should be no misgiving about these funds in the public and it precisely be clear to everyone that the funds are in safe hands," one of the judges of the Supreme Court has been quoted by media as saying.
In my view, the honorable judge's remarks clearly encourage people at large to make contributions to the fund created for the construction of new dams in the country.
