SSUET organises speech competition
Principal of National College Professor Anees Ahmed Zaidi has said that suffocated society generates no new thought. Speaking as chief guest at a speech competition organised at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) in regard of SSUET silver jubilee celebrations, he said divine and pure people sacrifice their lives for their cause, objectives and goals.
Socrates sacrificed his life for the truth. He preferred to give his life instead of availing the chance of saving his own life. When Sir Syed Ahmed Khan established an academic institution, non-Muslims gave heavy funds for the divine cause and the first batch of the institution had Hindu students as well.
It shows that education broadens your vision and opens up your mind. In human society, thoughts may be replaced with the better thoughts. Freedom has its own restrictions. Nobody has a complete freedom. It takes you to some responsibility. Dialogues and talks generate a new dimension.
