As protests continue against the Indian Citizenship (Amendment) Act in different parts of India, many Bollywood celebrities have voiced their opinion on social media.

From Farhan Akhtar to Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar, B-Town have been condemning the violent reaction of Indian police after demonstrations began across different cities in India.

Bollywood celebrities have been speaking up against the new citizenship law and have come forward in defence of students' protests that have spread across the country.

After the Indian Citizen bill was passed, Indian citizens came on street to condemn the new law.

In Jamia, the Delhi Police on Sunday evening lobbed teargas shells inside the campus, forced their way in, and allegedly dragged protesting students out of the library and the mosque, and assaulted them. At least 200 students and 30 policemen were injured in the violence.

Later, the protests erupted in multiple universities across India against the police action and in solidarity with the students of Jamia.
