Former MPA and ex-District, President PPP Dir Upper, Anwar Khan Advocate announced joining the ruling PTI with his associates. PTI MNAs Bashir Khan, Sahibzada Sibghatullah, PTI Malakand Division President Fazal Hakim Khan, Sahibzada Kursheed Alam and others were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister during his visit also inaugurated the newly constructed government Centennial Model High School which has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 35.75 million. The school has capacity of accommodating 1300 students in which currently 1,000 students are enrolled. The Chief Minister also announced solarization of the school, construction of playground and provision of the required class IV staff for the school.

While addressing the public gathering, Mahmood Khan stated that looters of public money and corrupt political mafias have left every child of the province in debt with zero development and no initiative for generating revenue. He stated that the incumbent government is taking pragmatic measures for generating revenue which include establishment of Industrial Zones, strengthening of communication networks, attracting investors by providing them conducive environment including provision of cheap electricity, promoting tourism and strengthening cross border trade activities with neighboring country Afghanistan.

He stated that the completion of Swat Motorway Phase-II, Peshawar to DI Khan Motorway, Chitral to Chakdara road, Chashma Lift Irrigation Scheme, Wheeling of electricity and other similar schemes planned by the provincial government with not only ensure greater revenue generation but will also provide tremendous livelihood opportunities to citizens of the province.

The Chief Minister also announced release of developmental funds for the ongoing development schemes in District Upper Dir and the early completion of Kumrat road. The Chief Minister on this occasion also negated the baseless propaganda by vested elements on social media platforms stating that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been re-elected by the people keeping in view its performance and will contest the election of 2023 on basis of its performance during its current tenure.

The Chief Minister stated that the provincial government is focused on the development of the backward areas of the province especially newly merged Tribal Districts which have been left out from the development process since the past many decades.
