The Punjab Assembly on Thursday passed a unanimous resolution for condemning Indian atrocities in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and unilateral step of abrogating its special status. It also condemned India's Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, and termed it discriminatory.

The resolution was presented by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Uzma Kardar. The resolution through the federal government also demanded that it should urge the United Nations and other international organizations to ask India to reverse the India's Citizenship (Amendment) Act and restore the special status of Occupied Kashmir.
