Taking a leaf out of celebrated Indian writer Khushwant Singh's book, prime minister Imran Khan has shed light on Indian government's approach to minorities, particularly Muslims who are now facing the prospect of internment or deportation. That Narendra Modi is hardly different from Adolf Hitler is a fact. Khushwant Singh wrote: "Every fascist regime needs communities and groups it can demonize in order to thrive. It starts with one group to two. But it never ends there. A movement built on hate can only sustain itself by continually creating fear and strife. Those of us today who feel secured because we are not Muslims or Christians are living in a fool's paradise. The Sangh is already targeting Leftist historians... ."
The world community must take notice of what the BJP-led coalition government is doing against as many as 200 million Muslims. It must work towards dealing with this dark chapter in twenty-first century in an effective manner.
