Paceman Jasprit Bumrah was Monday named in India's limited-overs squads for the home series against Sri Lanka and Australia after recovering from a stress fracture of the back. Opener Shikhar Dhawan also made a comeback to the Twenty20 and one-day teams after missing the recent West Indies ODI series with a deep cut to his left knee.
The 25-year-old Bumrah, who has an unorthodox sling-arm action, is known for bowling near-perfect yorkers while Dhawan is an attacking left-handed batsman.
Meanwhile senior batsman Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Mohammed Shami have been rested for the three T20 matches against Sri Lanka starting January 5. India will host Australia for three ODI games on January 14 (Mumbai), January 17 (Rajkot) and January 19 (Bangalore). Virat Kohli's India ended 2019 on a high with a series-clinching ODI win over the West Indies on Sunday.
