Pakistan on Monday welcomed the announcement of preliminary results of Afghan presidential elections in which Ashraf Ghani is set to lead for another term. "We note that the final results would be announced after completion of adjudication process within the stipulated time as per Afghan electoral laws," said Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui about the results of the Afghan elections held on 28 September 2019.
