Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat futures rose on Thursday on technical buying and concerns about tightening supplies in major exporters, traders said. In Russia, the world's top wheat exporter, agricultural consultancy SovEcon lowered its 2019/2020 wheat export forecast by 0.2 million tonnes to 33.1 million tonnes.
The USDA on Friday is expected to report that US wheat export sales last week were 200,000 to 900,000 tonnes, according to a Reuters survey of analysts.
Traders were adjusting positions ahead of the end of the year.
