Northwest European gasoline barge margins fell on Monday as trades remained muted in the year-end holidays. Arrivals of European gasoline and gasoline components to the United States were seen at around 655,200 tonnes so far in December, Refinitiv Eikon data shows.

At least three cargoes of gasoline were provisionally booked last week out of European ports to West Africa with the total capacity of 187,000 tonnes, according to shipping data. Two gasoline cargoes were also tentatively booked out of Europe to the United States.

Colonial Pipeline Co is allocating space for Cycle 4 shipments on Line 1, its main gasoline line, for 2020 the company said on Monday. Colonial connects Gulf Coast refineries with markets across the southern and eastern United States through more than 5,500 miles (8,850 km) of its pipeline system, delivering gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and other refined products.

US oil refiners are expected to have 45,000 barrels per day (bpd) of capacity offline for the week ending Jan. 3, increasing available refining capacity by 16,000 bpd from the previous week, research company IIR Energy said on Monday. Offline capacity is expected to rise to 263,000 bpd in the week ending January 10.

Libyan state oil firm NOC is considering the closure of its western Zawiya port and evacuating staff from the refinery located there due to clashes nearby, a statement said on Saturday. Zawiya is Libya's biggest functioning refinery.

US crude stocks fell much more than anticipated as refineries boosted output near the end of the year, the Energy Information Administration said on Friday.
