The city's weather is likely to continue gusty on Thursday as well with a minimum temperature up to 8 degrees Celsius, according to the Met Office on Wednesday.
It said that Karachi is expected to witness gusty winds with cold and dry weather as humidity may range up to 60 percent in the morning and 30 percent in the evening hours.
In the next 24 hours: Isolated rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over mountain) with cloudy weather is expected in Northwest Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Dense fog is likely to prevail over the most plains of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night hours. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country while very cold in upper parts.
In the last 24 hours: Dense fog engulfed the most of plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh, while some districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Weather remained dry and cold in most parts of the country while very cold in upper areas.
Rainfall: Jiwani received 15mm of rains. Lowest temperature: Skardu witnessed minus 11 degrees Celsius, Gupis minus 8, Parachinar minus 6, Astore, Kalat and Bagrote minus 5, each, Kalam minus 4 and Malamjabba, Quetta and Gilgit minus 3, each.
"A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect western and upper parts of the country from today and likely to persist in upper parts during next 48 hours," the Met office said.
