Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh, the senior most judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has taken oath as 49th Chief Justice of the LHC in a ceremony held here at Governor's House on Wednesday. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar administered oath to Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh as Chief Justice.
The ceremony was attended among others by the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar Mansoor, Provincial Ministers Raja Muhammad Basharat, Dr Akhtar Malik and Sardar Mohsin Khan Leghari, judges of the Lahore High Court, Chief Secretary, IG Punjab, representatives of bar councils and lawyers.
They felicitated the LHC Chief Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh.
