  • Experts are of the view that the latest adoption of technologies will lead to cost-efficiency.
  • Just days ago, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra rolled out first batch of 08 dual seat JF-17 aircraft.

Pakistan, China co-developed JF-17 fighter jet has reportedly undergone major upgrades that as per experts will increase the jet combat capabilities.

“This prototype is equipped with a large number of AVIC's [Aviation Industry Corporation of China] shelf products, including the wide-angle diffractive holographic display, integrated cockpit display and advanced missile warning device used by the J-20 fighter aircraft, but no radar is installed,” wrote Aerospace Knowledge.

The upgrades include a new and larger holographic wide-angle head-up display and integrated cockpit display similar to the one used by the J-20, in addition to an advanced infrared missile approach warning system used by the J-10C, J-16 and J-20 fighter jets, the magazine reported.

"China has made a large amount of achievements in the development of the likes of the J-10 and J-20, resulting in many mature technologies and equipment… If they can be used on the JF-17, the pilot could enjoy a significant efficiency increase in flying, which will also boost its combat efficiency," said Wang Ya'nan, chief editor of Aerospace Knowledge magazine, told the Global Times.

The expert was of the view that the adoption of such technologies lead to cost-efficiency as well.

Just days ago, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra achieved yet another remarkable milestone when first batch of 08 dual seat JF-17 aircraft rolled were out from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra.
