Hamdard Pakistan will hold a 3-day 5th international conference on "Global popularity of alternative medicine, responsibilities and challenges" from Thursday January 9 to 11, 2020 at Bait al-Hikmah, Hamdard University, Madinat al-Hikmah, Karachi on the occasion of celebrating 100 years of Hakim Mohammed Said (1920-2020).
Hakim Mohammed Said contributed a lot to promote Unani (Eastern) medicine and to get recognized the alternative medicine by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The aim of the conference is to bring together leading experts in the field of Alternative Medicine, including traditional unani medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, ayurveda and other indigenous practising systems at one forum and to provide opportunities to younger faculty members and graduates of Unani (Eastern) Medicine to learn and explore the possibilities to develop research collaborations for sustainable and evidence-based utilization of Alternative Medicine for the benefit of humankind.
It will be a mega event as a large number of scholars, scientists and researchers working in the fields of Unani (Eastern) medicine and other alternative medicine are expected to participate, share their experiment and read their research papers in the conference.
