On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,461.

The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.484 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,615.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.064 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 773.259 million, Crude Oil PKR 543.345 million, Silver PKR 493.625 million, Palladium PKR 478.033 million, Platinum PKR 316.912 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 299.044 million, DJ PKR 205.730 million, Natural Gas PKR 142.134 million, SP500 PKR 77.012 million, Copper PKR 53.132 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 38.174 million.

In agriculture commodities 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.728 million were traded.
