Punjab government to ensure transparency through e-tendering

The Punjab government is set to introduce e-tendering soon in order to ensure transparency in the process of procurement, said sources. They said Chief Secretary Punjab has directed the communications department to act upon it at the earliest.

It may be noted that the department is in the process of converting 14 roads into dual roads throughout the province under the policy of public-private partnership. Chief Secretary is of the view that efficient use of information technology would minimize the chances of corruption in public departments.
