Lambasting the government over successive failures on internal and external fronts, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Senator Sirajul Haq Wednesday said that it seems the government lacks clarity and vision, and is moving ahead without any direction.

He said that the government has failed to reach an agreement with opposition even on the appointment of chief election commissioner and is treating opposition parties in the Parliament as rival states. He said this while talking to a JI delegation, led by MPA Muavia Azam, which called on him here at the Parliament Lodges.

He held the rulers responsible for the political and economic crises, saying deliberate attempts are being made to divert the people's attention towards non-issues. He expressed concern over the act of a federal minister who brought a military boot in a live TV show, saying the debate was commenced to disrespect politics and democracy.

The JI chief said the PTI government has caused irreparable loss to economy and its external and internal policies are flawed. The poor, he added, are praying day and night to get rid of the present regime. He said the solution of all the problems lies in enforcement of Shariah, introducing interest-free economy and following the spirit of the ideology which was the basis for creation of Pakistan.

Meanwhile a statement issued here said that a delegation of Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) led by Secretary General Liaqat Baloch Wednesday reached Iranian city Mashad which was received by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Director General (DG) and other members on the city's airport.

The members of the MYC offered condolence for the top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani who was assassinated in the US attack a few days ago.

Talking to the members of Pasdaran-e-Inqilab, Baloch said Pakistan and Iran enjoy deep and eternal brotherly relations. He said America, India and Israel are hatching conspiracies to create divisions among Muslim states which could be countered only by demonstrating unity and respect for each other.

He also highlighted the Indian atrocities in Kashmir, saying New Delhi is involved in worst human rights violations in the held valley. He also appreciated Iran for raising voice for the rights of Kashmiri people.
