Commissioner Mirpurkhas Division and Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Dr Shahzad Tahir Thaheem had taken serious notice of the price hike in essential food items especially flour.
The DC Tharparker directed all assistant commissioners and Mukhtiarkars of the district for taking stern action against the profiteers and submit report to him daily. He further said that it has been reported that the shopkeepers are selling the special flour at Rs 56 per kg and ordinary at Rs 52 per kg while the government approved rate is Rs 43 per kg flour mills and special flour is Rs 48.
