Futures spread down by 1613 basis points

The futures spread declined by 1613bps to negative 7.47 percent on the last day of the outgoing week. Trading activities on the futures counter remained thin as average daily volumes declined by 25.5 percent week-on-week basis to 58.73 million shares as compared to previous week's average of 78.82 percent. Average daily trading value on the futures counter decreased by 37.9 percent to stand at Rs 2.32 billion as compared to Rs 3.73 billion in the previous week.
