The Faisalabad administration has decided to conduct an "Impartial Audit" of flour mills and grinding chakies operating in Faisalabad District which were receiving wheat quota from the government. The purpose of this audit was aimed to assess the difference between wheat quota and grind flour.
Disclosing this, Divisional Commissioner, Ishrat Ali and Deputy Commissioner, Muhammad Ali, jointly told the Media, here Monday that if any discrepancy was found in the audit, strict action would be taken against the concerned flour mills and grinding chaki owners and the difference of rates between the government and market rates will be recovered from them.
Commissioner, Ishrat Ali, told a Control Room to monitor the availability of flour and its supply at fair price shops and to shopkeepers has already been set up in the Deputy Commissioner Office, Faisalabad, which would monitor the supply of Atta in the market round-the-clock. This Control Room will operate round-the-clock and record the discrepancies in supply of flour. He said that two flour mills in Jhang have been sealed and stringent action has been taken against a flour factory in Mamoon Kanjun due to certain serious discrepancies.
