(Karachi) Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s meeting with US President Donald Trump has been useful as both sides agreed to enhance trade relations, Radio Pakistan reported.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Qureshi said a delegation from the United States will Pakistan soon as part to boost trade activities between the two countries. He mentioned US president will also visit Pakistan soon.
He said the PM apprised the US president regarding the measures taken for compliance with the guidelines of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The FM maintained that Imran Khan sought Trump’s support over the FATF.
He said the prime minister also apprised the US president regarding Indian atrocities and continued lockdown in Jammu and Kashmir. He pointed out that the PM also discussed the situation of the Middle East in detail with Donald Trump and asked him to play role in resolving issues in an amicable manner.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi highlighted that the US president assured the PM of his support and resolution of matters through dialogue. He said Trump emphasized both India and Pakistan to settle the Kashmir conflict and pledged to initiate dialogue with Indian prime minister over the matter.
