A 12-year old ailing Afghan boy was granted Pakistani visa for medical treatment on humanitarian grounds upon the special directives of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Seeratullah Wardak from Afghanistan had been recommended by doctors to visit Pakistan for getting medical treatment. The parents of the child had appealed the Pakistani Foreign Ministry through social media for granting of visa on humanitarian grounds. The foreign minister, while responding to message, issued directives to immediately issue Pakistani visa to the Afghan boy. In a separate video message, Seeratullah thanked Pakistan for granting him the visa on humanitarian grounds to take medical treatment in Pakistan.
